Master Wizard error- “Connection Closed (2)” on local machine

It can be resolved by changing the registry entry “Login Remote” to “true” in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Aladdin Knowledge Systems\HASP SRM Vendor Suite\General.

After modifying the registry case change the “Server Address” to 127.0.0.1 in the Master Wizard.

Steps involved:

  1. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Aladdin Knowledge Systems\HASP SRM Vendor Suite\General
  2. Add a new String-Value (Name: Login Remote, Value: true)
  3. Now, restart the ‘Sentinel EMS Service’
  4. Launch the ‘Master HASP Wizard’
  5. The “Server Address” option will no-longer be greyed-out.
  6. Now enter ‘localhost’ or 127.0.0.1 in Server Address instead of machine name.

 This should login successfully.
