Changes to the former SafeNet corporate branding

Last January, SafeNet and Gemalto merged to become the world’s leading vendor of solutions for Software Monetization and Data Protection. Entering 2016, we have a clear path towards our strategic vision and are committed to help you, our customers, address not only your software monetization needs today, but also of the future as you expand your business and enter new markets.

In 2016, you will notice an evolution of the Gemalto brand—expanding to now include the Sentinel portfolio of software monetization solutions. While a complete high level FAQ can be viewed here, we wanted to share with you a few highlights that you may notice throughout 2016, as they relate to your engagement with Gemalto, and our Sentinel products within your business.

Use of Logo

From January 2016, we will only be using the Gemalto logo on our website, invoices, social media properties, at events, etc., in order to emphasize Gemalto as a leader in Software Monetization. Sentinel will remain the Gemalto brand for protection, licensing, usage tracking and entitlement management solutions.

Hardware keys logo – Sentinel HL and legacy keys will no longer carry the SafeNet logo. This change will be gradual, and it may happen that in your next order, some keys will have the former branding and some will have the new branding. Customers who order logo customized keys will not be affected.

Products’ physical packaging rebranded – All shipped products shall have the Gemalto brand. Customer customized packaging is still available.

Social Media

We have migrated our social media properties over to Gemalto so that we can better communicate one message for helping our customers monetize software and drive business growth. LicensingLive! remains our thought leadership blog, featuring weekly posts on a variety of software monetization-related topics. These can also be found, together with presentations and case studies, on our new customer testimonials page.

Product Names

Sentinel will remain the name for Gemalto’s software monetization product line under the Gemalto corporate logo. We will be communicating the release of new products – and any change in product naming – using our regular product release process. At this point in time, all our products will continue with the same naming convention.
